The seedlings started in March have grown into full-ass baby plants, a ton of them. I have at least ten containers with pea shoots, at least two per container. I lucked into finding some 2020 AMC reuseable popcorn buckets at the thrift store and used those for my sunflowers (taking center stage) and candytufts (surrounding the star player). Those were the lucky ones - I'm not sure how the herbs I started are going to do and might have better luck just planting then directly in a week or two. Big props to my friends Michaela and Pendleton for helping me transplant a good half or more of the seedlings.
There have been a lot of unnecessary classist and ableist changes at my apartment complex the past few months - ticketing "unsightly" and past date cars, raising rent, getting rid of our dumpsters in favor of one compactor. Friday my building got nastygrams on our doors about clutter and trash on back patios. Although I received their assurance that this "did not include plants," I'm not holding my breath and am preparing to Hulk out if they count my garden as clutter.
To do: direct seed some herbs, carrots, flowers, and dandelions
